Also this year LASI joins “Generation of Industry” project

“Generation of Industry” is a project promoted by the Union of Manufacturers of the Province of Varese and supported by a protocol of understanding signed together with the Province and the Varese Territorial School Office.

The project, born almost 10 years ago, has already awarded with hundreds of scholarships, the most deserving students of industrial and economic technical institutes in the Varese area.

It is a bridge between school and business, a concrete way to prove confidence to the students, rewarding their academic results and showing them that there is a concrete and direct link between their commitment at school and their future work.

4 ways of being in the company

Students can participate in the life of the Company through 4 methods:
- Stage Plus: we welcome students of the fourth and fifth classes for long-term internships in the Company,
- Company protagonist at school: our specialists teach in courses in which students are involved,
- Teacher update: in this case the professors come to the Company, to discuss with our technicians about the evolution of the production process and the organization of work.

Sometimes they come back

In recent years we have met a lot of guys. The basic path that is proposed to them is mostly about exploration and observation. Day after day, students are accompanied, department by department in order to understand every stage of our production processes.

Sometimes a real interest in our sector and our company arises. In this case, after finishing the course of study, the student enters the "Lasi family" as a collaborator.

Simone's story

“Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday all day”. Thus began, in 2020, in Lasi, the adventure of Simone, who today wears a white coat and carries the tag with the company logo around his neck.

"My dual apprenticeship in Lasi started in October 2020. After the first weeks, during which I went through the different departments in order to have an overview of the entire production cycle, I was asked which job I would have liked to specialize in, and I was employed there.

This is exactly what happens to students who decide to do training internships in Lasi: they learn.

“They accompanied us everywhere and in case of doubt or curiosity, just ask. I even attended the business English course. "

Everything is an opportunity, Simone teaches us, and he really knows how to pick his one.
"In May I sat down again at the school desk for the high school diploma and, obtained it, I returned to LASI, to be hired".

“I'm in the place where I would have liked to be. Where I have studied to be. And I will continue to work hard to stay here. "

The company really likes this attitude of conviction and commitment, and the contract he signed, immediately, with Lasi, testifies this.

The appreciation is mutual, dear Simone.
